Bill: Emergency session of the Senate

Details

Submitted by[?]: FFG Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3945

Description[?]:

Dear senators, I have convened this emergency session of the senate. Our good friends from Kafuristan have informed us that the nation of Badara(northern islands) have threatened to attack Kafuristan with nuclear missiles. This I received from a communique from the Kaiser and Governor General himself. It doesn't take too much thought to know that a nuclear attack or any sort of attack on Kafuristan will have a huge impact on us. I want to start a discussion of what we should do.

Stijn Servaes, President of Solentia

MessageSenators,

While the Anarchist Confederation opposes the use of nuclear weaponry, we will oppose military action against Badara.

MessageI agree that anu kind of military action is inexcusable. What will we do when Kafuristan is attacked. Surely we cant just standby and look. We oppose military intervention but the Kafuri government has asked our support. What should we do

MessageThe political party stationed in Kafuristan is the Chann Liberation Army, and they have roots in Solentia. Our relationship with Kafuristan is strong, but we shouldn't be meddling in their affairs. 100 years ago, Kafuristan was ruled by an Ahmadi monarchy, and that was overrun, and now it's ruled by a one-party state controlled by the Chann Family (which has it's roots in Solentia). That is some background information on Kafuristan.

Now, Badara. Badara is a one party socialist Ahmadi state. Their government has a very small emphases on military spending. If you look at their budget, it's all social programs and acedera. If they are dumb enough to launch nuclear weapons at Kafuristan, their country will be taken over by Kafuristan in retaliation. If you do the math and adjust for inflation, Kafuristan's military has almost 600000% the military funding of Badara. If Badara has a nuclear weapon, they will be stupid to use it, and if they do use it, their country will be absolutely destroyed. Let's stay out of this no matter what, and let's use some common sense here. We will not support Kafuristan regardless of what happens here, as if they are requesting help, they are paranoid and unaware of the situation.

MessageWe also would like to point out that we mean no insult to Kafuristan. We agree with them on more policy than we agree with the socialist Amahdi nation that is threatening them. We just do not feel that this conflict is our issue, and they should be able to defend themselves. We apologize to the FFG if our position is offensive, but we don't want to be locked in alliances of that sort.

MessageMatthew Panke[leader of ULW] and Alexander Hamilton[military expert and candidate for Defence of ULW]:
United Left Wing still thinks that alliance with CLA can bring more harm.
CLA seems to be creating problems in order to have an excuse.
We should talk with both Badara and Kafursitan in order to find a consensus or to ensure that nukes will not be used.

MessageThe CLA is a somewhat dangerous entity. The Chann family has had occasional periods of political dominance in Solentia, and historically they have been a party of moderate keynesian economics and big military spending. We like the FFG's policies, but we do not plan on allying with the CLA nor do we plan on supporting them in this situation. Just as the ULW says, they are creating a fuss out of nothing. Their military is much stronger than Badara, and we hope that in the future, the CLA has a much more sensible approach to foreign affairs.
