Message | Mr. Speaker, Religious officials are compensated for the work they do for their respective religious institutions. If you tax churches, mosques, temples, or other religious institutions on surpluses which are used to compensate religious officials, and thus threaten the livelihoods of said officials, then it impedes the ability for said institutions to function.
