| IMPERIAL CHANCELLERY AMENITIES RESOLUTION OF 3946 June 3946 To sustain the dignity of the office of the Imperial Chancellor of the Holy Luthori Empire by providing adequate housing, security, and transportation. Whereas the Imperial Chancellor is a national figure of the Holy Luthori Empire; Whereas it is not clear as to where the Imperial Chancellor resides, save for a few newspaper references; Whereas there does not exist an organization to provide security to the Imperial Chancellor and his or her family; Whereas there does not exist official vehicles or aircraft with the proper security systems to provide transportation for the Imperial Chancellor; Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Imperial Diet of the Holy Luthori Empire SECTION 1. SUPPORT OF THE OFFICE OF THE IMPERIAL CHANCELLOR. The Imperial Diet of the Holy Luthori Empire hereby affirms support of the office of the Imperial Chancellor and shall provide such support through funding of amenities of the office and other provisions deemed necessary for the safety and dignity of the office. SEC 2. RESIDENCE OF THE IMPERIAL CHANCELLOR. (a) Address.--The official address of the residency of the Imperial Chancellor shall be 10 Adlerberg Street, Fort William, Orange, Holy Luthori Empire. (b) Security.--A new government agency named the Imperial Service shall be created in order to-- (1) protect current and former Imperial Chancellors; and (2) protect 10 Adlerberg Street and the residences of former Imperial Chancellors. SEC 3. TRANSPORTATION AMENITIES. (a) Automobile.--The Imperial Chancellor shall use a specially-made vehicle fitted with security systems and other defense mechanisms in order to-- (1) provide transportation for the Imperial Chancellor for government business; and (2) ensure the Imperial Chancellor is transported safely within Luthori and in foreign nations. (b) Aircraft.--The Imperial Chancellor shall use a specially-made plane fitted with security systems and other defense mechanisms in order to-- (1) provide transportation for the Imperial Chancellor for government business; and (2) ensure the Imperial Chancellor is transported safely in the air within Luthori and in foreign nations; and (3) act as a command center in a state of emergency. (c) Security.--The Imperial Chancellor may call the Imperial Air Force to defend the Imperial Chancellor's plane when in the air. |

Is the wiki updated when it comes to the Imperial Chancellor and military control? I believe it says the Monarch has supreme control over the armed forces, but I think it would be better to devolve that power to the elected Imperial Chancellor. |

| Message | I have updated the Imperial Diet website and edited the Luthori page a few days ago on some minor stuff and spelling/grammatical errors, but it really is a drain on my time. Maybe LA can go through the Luthori page because they have the most knowledge? Also, the Imperial Chancellor is a national symbol, one of many in Luthori. The Monarch is the head of state, yes, but the Imperial Chancellor is the head of government and meets and interacts with other world leaders. |

| Message | I don't want to argue over semantics, so I'll try to make myself clear right now. He is a symbol of the country recognizable by people not in the country. Yes, most people think of the Queen, but one would also recognize the face of Cameron or Shinzo Abe of Japan or Benjamin Netanyahu. Tell me, who are you more familiar with? Shinzo Abe or Emperor Akihito? Benjamin Netanyahu or Reuven Rivlin? The latter two are heads of state while the former two are heads of government. My point is that the Imperial Chancellor maintains some level of name recognition due to media exposure and the simple fact that the Chancellor runs the government of this country. |
