Bill: News: After over 200 years in exile, Gottbergen Family returns to power

Details

Submitted by[?]: Royal Malivian Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4064

Description[?]:

Mass celebrations occurred today in the Dundorfian-Malivian and Dundorfian communities of Malivia as the Gottbergen brothers, decedents of the last monarch of Malivia, return the Gottbergen family to power. In a race that was won by less than a percentage point, Josef Gottbergen III becomes the first Gottbergen head of state in 214 years.

Josef's FPM platform was built on expanding the rights of Dundorfian and Dundorfian-Malivian communities. Presently, government census protocols dictate that anyone that has Malivian heritage is to be registered as an ethnic Malivian for census purposes. This rule has lead to many Dundorf-Malivians being treated as second class citizens because they are not "darah tulen" or "pure bloods."

Gottbergen's win set off a chain reaction, where Freedom Party leadership loyal to the Gottbergen Family, working with Conservative National Party of Malivia Militia, seized control of the party and government. The CNPM and FPM are currently in the process of consolidating control of the national government and re-establishing the Gottbergen dynasty.

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed).
