What would be a company's motive if they couldn't make a profit on their product? What money could they reinvest? Does the creator of a new drug not have the RIGHT to profit from fruit of his mind? Why is it you guy's don't consider it moral for a man to keep the money he has earned by right, but it is okay for the government to steal one's profit and redistribute it to people who have NO RIGHT to it? |

Message | Here's how this works: We (as in the government) subsidize research into areas where pharmaceutical companies would not research because they would not be profitable, and in return we regulate a fair price for the consumer. However, this does not mean we are not letting them have a profit, in fact the prices are specifically regulated to ensure they do just that. |

Message | We must ensure that people can access the prescription drugs they need. If that means relagating the prices, so be it. |

Message | What if you owned that company? Would you want to see your profits sacrificed for the sake of people you don't know and don't care about? Would you consider that moral? By what RIGHT does a government create such a law? |

Message | Actually, I consider it moral to help other people. And I know how much money pharmacutical companies make (billions each year), I don't think I would be struggling. |

Message | Do you consider it moral to be FORCED to "help" other people? How does the amount of money that company X makes on whatever product or service it offer give you the right to FORCE them to go give their money to something they may or may not care about or value? |

Message | If people can't be taught any other way, then yes. Morality needs to be learned. If people don't want to help anyone, then they should utterly remove themselves for society. They shouldn't partake of state education, the road system, hospitals, or anything else provided. They should be 100% self suffiecent. If they're not, they are hypocrits. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
Random quote: "'The illusion of Pontesi nationhood'. The Serpent speaks. How can they say these things? How can they call our country an illusion? You can see it clear as day, these people won’t stop until they’ve destroyed us all." - Morgan Einar, former Pontesian general |
