Currently, the government gives high levels of aid to countries in need. However we believe that this is far too high. We need to look after our own nation first, however still provide a SENSIBLE proportion of aid as opposed to this ridiculously high amount.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Reducing foreign aid may be a populist thing to do in the short-term, but in the long-term, it is a big mistake. If we want to create a fairer, more equal, more free and more safe Terra, then we need to take our international obligations seriously. If we cut back on our contributions, that will give other wealthy nations the green light to do the same. The long-term consequences of that will not be good for Terra - and not good for Dolgavas, either.

We have to disagree you. We are still giving MODERATE foreign aid which is a sensible and still hefty amount. We need to take our obligations to DOLGAVA more seriously than we currently, are. With our proposal we are reaching a happy medium as opposed to shelling out ridiculously vast amounts of money to other countries.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Taking our obligations to Dolgavas seriously means we need to make sure we live in a Terra that is safe, fair and prosperous for all. We all know that if we allow poverty and suffering to spread, then extremism will fester.

We would rather export foreign aid than import terrorism...

You seriously believe that dishing out less of our money will lead to terrorism? We are still giving a MODERATE amount of aid under this legislation as opposed to vast amounts. If moderate aid will still lead to terrorism then we may as well completely cut foreign aid by your logic.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The PP are still not considering the knock-on effect of us reducing our aid. If we reduce our aid, that will encourage other nations to reduce their aid as well. The cumulative effect will be a significant and highly damaging reduction in the overall amount of aid given to the most desperate parts of the world.

As well as being immoral, this would be harmful to our national interests. As I said, societies where there is suffering and poverty are much more likely to experience political instability and extremism.

The knock on effect? The Liberal Union just simply don't seem to understand us, we are still giving MODERATE amounts of aid, we are still giving a SENSIBLE and REASONABLE amount of aid, under previous legislation, we were giving VAST amounts of aid, too much of it which was damaging our nation!

MessageMr. Speaker,

Yet again, the so-called "Progressives" are playing into the agenda of the National Front. By giving credence to their rhetoric, they are making them seem more legitimate than they really are.

It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn
