Message | Mr. Speaker, We are puzzled that the "Progressives" think it is fine for parents to allow their children to spend their money on hardcore pornography, yet they think a parent who wants to pay for their child to go to a better school should be banned from doing so. Shame on the "Progressives"! Arnita Birzkalns Minister of Education & Culture |

Message | Mr Speaker We believe that all children should be taught to the same standards as every other child, money should not hinder or upgrade any child's educational experience at such a young age. Education can decide a child's very future, money should not play a role in that. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The Progressives surely know that even within the state educational sector, standards vary. Some schools get very good results and some get very poor results. Despite the efforts that have been made, schools in more deprived areas tend to get poorer results than schools in wealthy areas. So the idea that every school can provide exactly the same level of education is simply implausible. It doesn't work like that. The advantage of private schools is they take some pupils outside of the state sector, so resources can be focussed more on those who remain. Everybody benefits. Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
