Bill: Chemical Weapons Ban of June 3953

Details

Submitted by[?]: Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3954

Description[?]:

The current government policy on the use of Chemical Weapons is out of line with the growing number of countries deciding to ban the use of chemical and biological weapons. Although storage of chemical and biological weapons are prohibited, a change in the law could lead to a high number of civilian casualties in the event of war.

MessageAgreed - if a nation ever has to resort to using chemical weapons, that nation has already by far, lost. Chemical and biological weapons have absolutely no use other than for use in terrorism.

MessageExactly. Unfortunately, many countries do not prohibit the use of chemical weapons, but we as a nation would be taking a positive step forward by passing this bill.
