Bill: Physical Discipline Act of August 3953
Details
Submitted by[?]: Labour Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3954
Description[?]:
Current regulations on the teacher's right to discipline is left to local government. Whilst I agree that the state usually functions better when power is devolved, this policy is currently out of line with other laws regarding physical punishment. Teachers should be forbidden from hitting children and should only be able to use other forms of punishment such as detentions or expulsion. |

Message | We do agree that children should not be hit, and our militia will harass any teacher found guilty of this, but we cannot agree to this due to the fact that it does not interfere with the operations of other local governments. |
Date | 14:54:07, December 17, 2015 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Physical Discipline Act of August 3953 |
Message | We also agree that as much power as possible needs to be devolved to local government, but how can your government assure children will not be hit by teachers for as long as there is no such law on the issue? |
Date | 18:08:21, December 17, 2015 CET | From | Green Party | To | Debating the Physical Discipline Act of August 3953 |
Message | However, recent evidence seems to prove that corporal punishment only harms children and their development. What we need to see is that for us to be a progressive nation, we must all vote yes and allow for children to develop without the fear of corporal punishment. |

Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
