Bill: Industry Emergency Act, y otra vez
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Imperial Hobrazian Front
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2173
Description[?]:
IN ORDER to ensure that Hobrazian citizens are given adequate service in vital areas, we propose that the Republic will nationalize companies that fail on their own. However, these will be limited to the following industries: power, water treatment, waste disposal, and agriculture of crops integral to subsistance. We cannot let the market dictate whether or not a hospital is able to have power or not; there needs to be some safeguards. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy on industry and subsidies to industrial operations.
Old value:: The government does not intervene in the market nor provide any form of subsidies/relief to industries.
Current: The government subsidizes private enterprises that face bankruptcy.
Proposed: The government acts as an investor of last resort, by nationalizing failing industries that provide vital goods or services.

Message | ¿Hablas español? Yo hablo un poco... (I do Spanish at school, but I'm only in my second year of it) It's a slightly muffled yes. We of course would like to see a fully planned economy, but it would get pathetically voted down right now. |
