Bill: Official Format of Bills
Details
Submitted by[?]: Green Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3960
Description[?]:
OOC: Hey guys I love this game and love playing as a political party leader. However, the bills being introduced often times are simply proposals and no real information is included. Also, there is rarely a debate on bills and I am even sometimes guilty of this. In the spirit of keeping this as an active role playing simulator, I would like that there at least be reasons given on the bill, not in any particular format. Just give us, the other parties, reasons as to why we should vote. And if you are going to vote against the bill, tell us why and let us try and convince you why it is good. Or you try and convince us why it is bad. I know this might take some time but I really enjoy the game and right now all I see is the Confederates and Federalists voting down most bills except their own while the other parties do the same except vice versa (if that makes sense). IC: If this bill is passed, the bill will need to have actual reasons included as to its passage in both the legislation and within the debate in Parliament. |

Message | I agree, all parties (some more than others) often vote one way simply to annoy the party who proposed a certain bill, and many things get passed with little to no discussion. We should try and have more dialogue. |
Date | 05:41:47, December 28, 2015 CET | From | Bailonese Council Communist Party (BCCP) | To | Debating the Official Format of Bills |
Message | OOC: The Green Party should remove "The" in its name. I vote down on most bills because it seeks the opposite of what my party desires. If you were to create bills that allocate power to the local governments, you will see the support of my party. IC: We disagree, sometimes debates are not needed as the outcome and reasons are self-evident. |
Date | 07:33:49, December 28, 2015 CET | From | Green Party | To | Debating the Official Format of Bills |
Message | Even then, valid points that are brought up by other parties are frankly ignored and it turns into a "I'm right, you're wrong" debate with no real discussion. It defeats the purpose of having multiple parties. OOC: Sorry didn't even notice the name thing. I'll change it. And again, this is what I mean, the federalists just voted against this. |
