Bill: Death Penalty Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Party for Practical Progress

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3960

Description[?]:

The purpose of the criminal justice system is to rehabilitate and educate those who have committed a crime so that they may one day reenter society. However, for those who have committed massive crimes against humanity or are unfit to be set loose in society, they should not be allowed to comfortably subsist at the people's expense-people who they harmed in order to be imprisoned in the first place.

MessageThis bill makes total sense. This way we can rehabilitate those who need it and not waste money on prisoners who are unfit to continue existing in our society. We will be supporting this bill.

MessageWe cannot reject citizens of state and condemn them to death simply because we want to save money. There are far better ways to save money, and our justice system should allow for the rehabilitation of criminals regardless of crime for hope of a better society for all.
