The purpose of the criminal justice system is to rehabilitate and educate those who have committed a crime so that they may one day reenter society. However, for those who have committed massive crimes against humanity or are unfit to be set loose in society, they should not be allowed to comfortably subsist at the people's expense-people who they harmed in order to be imprisoned in the first place. |
