Bill: Decentralization of Public Nudity Act of August 3963
Details
Submitted by[?]: Bailonese Council Communist Party (BCCP)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3964
Description[?]:
For now on, our party will only be bringing forward single-proposal bills in order to avoid any possible "riders" (irrelevant proposals attached to bills). This bill intends to give local governments the ability to regulate or not regulate nudity to their desire. Like many and most things, nudity is a cultural issue. The people of Bailon are not affected by the nudity laws of the people in Parlos Decina, after all, the islands are quite a distance apart. On a local level, our party despises public nudity, but why must there be a national policy on this? OOC: This will also help keep your political positions more accurate. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy on public nudity.
Old value:: Public nudity is illegal and prosecuted as a civil offence.
Current: Public nudity is illegal, but private nudist colonies and beaches are permitted.
Proposed: Public nudity laws are left to local governments.

Message | In this case, I can actually see the Confederates point here. I do agree that this is a sensitive cultural issue, and, as no one is being harmed by nudity, we can allow for the local governments to regulate this. |

Message | The DLP want to determine the rules of how people live elsewhere, in states where they do not reside. We hope voters will choose the right choice and vote for local independence - it is after all, where they live. |
