Bill: Public Obscenity Act of May 3973
Details
Submitted by[?]: Labour Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3974
Description[?]:
We believe that local government should not have the power to regulate policy on public obscenity: the only appropriate course of action would be to set a nationwide policy on such a topic. If we wish to safeguard the integrity of our nation and our children - our future leaders - we must set clear standards on this issue. Surely no party can disagree it is not fair to take the risk of exposing children to these kinds of acts in public. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Displays of public affection and obscenity laws.
Old value:: Local governments may regulate laws on public acts of affection and obscenity.
Current: Sexual intercourse is illegal in public.
Proposed: Sexual intercourse is illegal in public.

Message | We agree that copulation has no place in public, nor in privacy, nor anywhere, but we cannot force our views onto other cultures as we would not want other cultures to force their views onto us. The DLP and other imperialists will disagree, we are sure. |

Message | For once I actually agree with the confederates is this really something we need to have a national policy on? |

Message | Yes, it is. What makes you think it's okay to leave this up to local government? It's not about 'forcing our views' on to another culture, it's about common decency. You cannot be soft on a topic like this because it's supposedly part of our culture to let people have sexual intercourse in public. |
Date | 14:56:57, January 26, 2016 CET | From | Bailonese Council Communist Party (BCCP) | To | Debating the Public Obscenity Act of May 3973 |
Message | Who determines what is "common decency", the DLP? Let the locals decide, after all, it is their communities, their rules, their choice. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
