Bill: Nuclear Stockpiling and Use Act of May 3973

Details

Submitted by[?]: Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3974

Description[?]:

We must act now to ensure the safety of our civilians. A majority of nations store nuclear weapons: whilst we do not. To avoid becoming increasingly vulnerable to external threats, we must be able to develop, produce and stockpile nuclear weapons to defend ourselves in the event of a nuclear strike: this pertains to the second clause of this act. It is never right to use a nuclear weapon in response to a biological or chemical attack: we should only ever retaliate with nuclear weapons if a nuclear weapon is used to attack Beluzia initially.

MessageThis relies on trusting your enemies, a foolish mistake. Nuclear weaponry does not defend anyone by any stretch of the imagination. If you want to defend against nuclear arms, propose building a missile defence grid instead rather than proposing "deterrence solutions".

MessageThis is an excellent bill nuclear weapons create a deterrence effect which actually makes war less likely and keeps Beluzia safe.

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law.
