Bill: Reporting of Inactivity

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Liberal Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2061

Description[?]:

I wish to register my huge anger at the behaviour of the Conservative and Communist Parties in seeking for their own ends to report the Libertarians and SDC as inactive so as to remove them from Telamonian politics. They did log in - have actually seen their names as online (though granted they didn't vote?). Also, a bill was brought forward to decide if they were to be reported or not, we registered our belief that they should not be and this proposal in any case was not voted on. Anyhow, to then state on the forum that every one agrees that they are inactive and should be deleted is manifestly false, particularly when you were only doing it for your own selfish reasons. As I stated in the debate on the Libertarian party these people are students like many of the rest of us and at present it is exam time, they should therefore be given some leeway at this time if they don't log in - particularly given that previously they made many active contributions to Telamon. I can only hope, from the previous few election results that your tactics will spectacularly bacfire!!! Next time someone is considered inactive I propose a binding resolution by way of this bill that we will seek a debate and 2/3rds majority vote before anyone is reported as inactive. Also, if someone posts on the Telamon page of the forum and in public notices on the Telamon Commonwealth page that they will be away for any reason, NO action will be taken against them unless they are inactive for a lot longer than they states that they would be.

MessageYou still don't understand how politics works, do you......

I truly think the citizens in this country are retarded, if they keep voting for you.

MessageI do fully understand how politics works thank you, however this was an exceptionally Machiavellian move that I feel was unjustified.

MessageYa see, if you understand this is a Machiavellian move, then why did you post this?

I'm not gonna listen to this law...

and when you are gone for a while...i don't care even if you said you were going to take a break for exams. I am going to report you as inactive, so intelligent people can run the place.

MessageConservatives: The whole point is that reporting inactivity has nothing to do with the politics of the nation it is frankly extremely unfair to basically cheat by removing those that oppose you for spurious reasons therefore spoiling game play for others (Machiavellian motives within politics are fine but cheating is really only for low lifes). It is also actually against the rules if you read the forum. I shall be ensuring that ample notice is posted of any absence of mine to try to ensure that you cannot remove me for inactivity if I have explicitly stated that i will be inactive for a time.

MessageConservatives: Also, I'm sure you may have mentioned this before but where exactly are you from if you don't mind my asking?

And fine, if it's against the rules to report someone, who has said in advance he will be inactive, then i can't do anything about it.

As LP, never stated that he would, i guess my actions are justified.

There is the chance, truly that he was busy with exams, or maybe some other important issue, but the fact remains, to me he is one less Liberal Party to work with.
