MessageSince our Right Honourable Friend of the Secular Capitalist Party has asked us in most clear terms to provide an argument against their present proposal it is with pleasure that we speak and provide both a sensible and logical argument.
First of all morality alters between people and as such cannot be used when attempting to argue any point within parliament, all it creates is an invalid argument rarely backed by facts now, enough of deviation and back to the point.
The sheer fact that the more a state is privatised the more red tape, not less is created. The same can be said for when a country is pushing everything down to the local level. Say for instance one region of the country is the victim of forest fire if the emergency services are knocked down and controlled on a local level it is often the case that if the blaze becomes too much for that regions services to handle then it is necessary for other regions emergency services to be drafted in to prevent an even larger disaster however, since each emergency service is controlled by separate regional governing bodies there is greater red tape than would exist if the service was controlled at a national level.
Thus I come to this proposal, with private industry controlling the national grid service becomes unequal across the country, some regions having a better service than others. Some regions being charged vastly extortionate rates for a pittance of a service whilst others have a generally good service and are charged least. Furthermore in a worst case scenario it is plausible that a multinational corporation or even merely a national corporation; since at the time of speaking this we are uncertain as to the law concerning whether multinational corporations are allowed to have control over any of the vital services within this country. For it is our understanding that a bill was tabled within recent years concerning this matter and we at the present time do not have access to the results of aforementioned bill. However returning to the point as spoken. In a worst case scenario it is plausible that if a corporation maintains a section of the national grid, a grid that I am certain all members of parliament are aware has become the lifeblood of this nation, with much of our vital industry indeed our own homes being powered from it, if a corporation has control over the national grid it is plausible for them to attempt to use tactics such as blackmail in order to be assured that certain laws within parliament are passed in their interests even if these laws are not in the best interests of the citizenship of Beluzia; by and I am certain that the Our Right Honourable Friend has understood the implications of this without our saying so, by shutting down sections of the national grid without which our dear Republic would cease to function.
