| The Monarchist Party proposes before the Senate a bill which will make pornography illegal within the Federal Union of Gaduridos. Let it be understood the reasons for this measure: 1) Pornography, as a mindset, perverts the bond between man and woman, turning it from a union of one flesh into objectifying lust. 2) Pornography, as an institution, destroys the lives of men and women, especially the latter. Corruption within the pornography industry has turned women into practical slaves and prostitutes. 3) The existence of pornography within a nation - even with the current law limiting it only to adults - does not guarantee that it will not reach the minds of the youth, and hence corrupt young minds into holding an improper view of sex. 4) Pornography leads the way into other forms of sexual adulteration, be it bestiality, pedophilia, or other fetishes. Just as pornography, over time, permits the acceptance within a society of one sexual evil, so too shall it expand and grow until it corrupts completely. While the Monarchist Party understands that one cannot eliminate the problem of lust, and that other measures within our society will have to be taken to deal with the heart issue of the matter, it is illogical to permit an even greater symptom of the problem to only grow worse and worse, and hence exacerbate the situation. We believe the Senate should move to act upon this. |
