Bill: Ratification of the Treaty of the Lion, the Tiger, and the Dragon Addendum: The Phoenix

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hosian Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes for the ratification of a treaty. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3985

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

This bill asks for the ratification of the Treaty of the Lion, the Tiger, and the Dragon Addendum: The Phoenix. If this treaty is ratified, it becomes binding and will define national law.

The Jienpai Faction of Celestial Empire of Great Indrala has contacted multiple parties regarding a treaty which would unite the Monarchist nations of Terra. This treaty would give mutual support to all the signatory nations and would respect Luthori's influence over Alduria, Mordusia, Davostan, Telamon, and Hutori (all of Keris).

We ask all parties to vote in favor of ratification to increase the international standing of our Great Nation.

I yield
Brendan O'Leary
Foreign Affairs Minister

MessageMr Speaker,

Let's hope this doesn't pass. This will expand the influence of the elitist Hosian Socialist Party and their cabinet. I hope fellow parties will follow the Conservative Unionists view of this bill and criticise this cabinet for choosing to remain in groups of invitation only where they discuss things that apparently the public has no need to here.

Thank you,
Jean Williams

MessageMr. Speaker,

We ask the CUP to ground their comments in reality when debating this treaty. This will only expand the interests of our nation, not of any particular party. We have conducted negotiations with the signatories of this treaty as it our constitutional duty, and now we are opening it for debate.

MessageMr Speaker,

I don't see how my comments are not based on reality. As a matter of fact talking to people in the community one of their major concerns is the continuation of our membership in lucrative groups and the growing power of the state in peoples everyday lives. People no longer want the government to be part of these lucrative groups where the eletist discuss how to brainwash our people and to maximise there profits.

These people will stop at nothing to gain power. The CUP is a voice for those without it. We are not for secret groups. We are not funded by corporations. We are funded by trade unions who protect our people from evil employers.

Thank you,
Jean Williams

MessageMr Speaker,

We echo the statement made by the Rt Hon. Brendan O'Leary, in fact as Imperial Viceroy I fully endorse this agreement as I have had a wonderful back and forth discussion with the Indralan ambassador. This treaty will only continue the warm relations with both our countries.

I yield.

William Orangeheuser
Imperial Viceroy

MessageThe Hon. Mr. Williams,

On behalf of the Indralan Central Government, I urge you to reconsider your stance. The treaty was, indeed, negotiated among the signatories, who all hold a great deal of respect for Luthori's past and current traditions. Not only was the Rt. Hon. Minister O'Leary contacted, but also His Excellency Viceroy Orangeheuser and His Imperial Highness Emperor Anthony. All of the relevant members of the democratically elected government of Luthori was involved, which was done to ensure the treaty negotiations undergo the proper process, as well as bestow greater legitimacy to the agreement.

The treaty does not give special powers or authority to any one political party. Such things are not mentioned, as the treaty fully respects the sovereignty of each signatory, ensuring that such treaties do not unjustly interfere with the lives of the citizens in each state.

If anything, the treaty will increase Luthori's prosperity and provide jobs for the people through trade and research and development. It is our mutual hope that the treaty serves to not only ensure defense, but also increase the prosperity of everyone involved.

I urge you, please reconsider your opposition.

Tang Qishan
Indralan Ambassador to Luthori
