Message | Mr. Speaker; I have to confess, in my years of politics, I have never encountered parties which were so insistent on pushing for the murder of our children. Despite the fact that many abortion bills have been voted down, some demand that these bills be dragged up from the dead and thrown in for another vote. There are countless other issues facing Gaduridos which deserve such passion, and yet our Senators choose to waste time on this. We are also aghast at the language of the APP, whom our party had formerly come to respect. They say that they recognize "the need to protect the innocent unborn baby," and yet they "recognize the freedom of the mother and her personal rights." This is amazing compartmentalization! We at one hand say we are find recognizing the rights of a child, and then on the other hand we accept the right to murder it. Might I advise the APP that the "freedom" of the mother ends when it interferes with the freedom of the child? Might I inform the APP that unless the child has a right to proclaim its own destiny, the government has no right to permit the murder and wholesale slaughter of a future generation? That the APP would put forward that this be not only in the first, but the SECOND trimester, is even more disgusting, and something which even other socialist and left-wing parties have denied. The law, as it currently stands, is fair. Though no parent, including myself, wishes to think of such a situation in which her child's life may be lost, we accept it as necessary in the most extreme of cases. There is no reason to expand upon this. I think I speak for all those with common sense when I repeat what I have said in the past: no murder in the third trimester, no murder in the second trimester, no murder in the first trimester - no murder of our children ever! Message | Mr. Speaker; The APP wishes to lecture us on freedom from oppression and restrictions, and yet wishes to oppress our children and restrict their life to right. I stand with my good friend Miss Napolitani on this issue. If the APP and others wish to see our children be murdered, there are thousands in our prisons who would find them pleasant company.
