Message | Mr Speaker, As former President Dunsmore did not use this outdated power during his entire tenure, we believe that a precedent has been established that has effectively removed this power from the executive. We vote to remove the ability of the President to grant titles of nobility. |

Message | Mr Speaker, Just because former President Dunsmore did not use this power, it does not mean that it isn't a key part of the perview of the national executive. I don't believe that we should allow the Social Democratic Party to erode an office that it no longer holds! |
Date | 21:42:13, February 29, 2016 CET | From | Liberal Socialist Party | To | Debating the Nobility Act 3990 |
Message | Mr Speaker Although we are against aristocracy, I believe that offering people titles and honours based on merit (such as soldiers, public servants or civilians that have done fantastic and brave acts) is good as it's a privilege. Also these titles don't include any monetary value or political powers, they are merely titles so people know that they have been well earned. In my presidency, I plan on bestowing titles on the most honourable and brave of our people. Enzo Iglesias President of Gaduridos |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "An economist is a surgeon with an excellent scalpel and a rough-edged lancet, who operates beautifully on the dead and tortures the living." - Nicholas Chamfort |
