Description[?]:
Colleagues, Honourable friends and members. Today I stand before you as Prime Senator and bring forward the motion that the political union between our great nation and Great Indrala. This historic union once stood greatly a union of prosperity and cultural enrichment, we believe now is the time to restore this once great union, our nations can once again benefit one another, we are fighting a war together, and they can help us develop and we can once again share a cultural unity. I can confirm I have been in contact with the leader of Great Indrala, Duke Liu Jianguo, we have discussed the arrangements for such a union. The position of President would remain elected, although they would take on the position of a Viceroy and would carry out much of the same roles as they do now, with the monarch of Great Indrala playing purely a ceremonial one. We are equal partners in this proposed union, no one is more equal than the other. I present this motion to the house. Wu Yifan, Prime Senator. |

Message | Mr Speaker, We understand the sentiments of the LSP, although we insist the monarch would only take a ceremonial role in the nation and the Viceroy would remain the central democratic figure within the nation. On the point of the Partido Popular, as is current all cultures are equal in status and law, we only seek to re-establish a historical union which we feel at the current moment would suit us to re-enter. Message | Mr Speaker That purely ceremonial role is still a step too far. This will undermine our nation to Indrala, Gaduridos is a fully independent nation and should remain as such! This is an unappealing move to a increasingly diverse nation. According to our most recent census, only 15% of the population are even descended from Indralians! Installing a monarchy from Indrala is a ridiculous move which we shall fully oppose! Videl Peña LSP Leader (OOC: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=446686) |

Message | The Hon. Mr. Peña, On behalf of Indrala, I must make some clarifications to your points. First, sharing a monarch will not undermine Gaduridos and make it subservient to Indrala, nor will it make Indrala subservient to Gaduridos. Quite simply, both nations would share a head of state that would equally belong to both nations, as in the past. Second, the history of Indrala and Gaduridos are intertwined. During Free Gaduridos, the Indralan monarch was granted by the republican government the title Hegemon of Gaduridos and Defender of the Gaduri Gao-Showans as a sign of fraternal friendship, recognizing the joint history between both nations. Later on, the Gaduri peoples made the Indralan monarch Hegemon-King of Gaduridos and joint head of state with Indrala. Furthermore, Indralan settlers were the first individuals to found a civilization in what is now Gaduridos, giving Indralan peoples a significant role in the founding of Gaduridos, further highlighting the bond between our two nations. At the end of the day, sharing monarchs will completely and fully preserve the independence and sovereignty of both nations, while highlighting their joint histories. The future heir to the throne of Indrala would be more than happy to marry a Gaduri women to inject greater diversity and representativeness into the monarchy and make it more palatable to certain parties, showing great respect for the Gaduri people. Message | Mr Diao Yang Firstly, the monarch in question though will of course originate from Indrala and been seen mostly as a symbol of Indrala more than Gaduridos due to the longer length of time ruling in Indrala. Secondly that's exactly what it is, history. The "bond" was broken for a reason. The people of Gaduridos no longer wanted an out of date system, they wanted complete democracy. This point highlights exactly one of the main points that is wrong and immoral with monarchy. "More than happy to marry a Gaduri woman" indeed. The monarchs aren't even allowed to marry for love by the looks of it, they are forced to marry for the sake of political gain. Monarchy is outdated, expensive, and frankly ridiculous in this day and age. Our party and may Gaduridans fully reject this proposal, thank you very much! *round of applause and cheering from LSP Senators* Videl Peña LSP Leader |
