Bill: Cabinet Proposal of July 3995
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Socialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3996
Description[?]:
Proposing a Cabinet. Due to the Partido Popular winning such a large amount of seats, we cannot ignore the demand for their party in government. However in order to balance the government out, we propose including the more liberal All Progressive Party. The Radical Party in this term are unworkable due to differences, especially regarding the Indrala situation and reluctance to work with the partido popular. We believe that this could be a pragmatic government, with the strong socialist Partido Popular balanced out by the more moderate LSP and APP. |

Message | Mr Speaker, Given the choices of the President we are well aware that our time in government is over, now I will not attack the President, he is a decent and principled man, but given the passive aggressive nature of the LSP that became so apparent following our Union proposal we warn the Partido Popular and the APP to watch their backs while in government with the LSP. Message | Mr Valerrama One minute you say you won't attack me, next you attack my party. While we thank you for not fiercely opposing this cabinet, I would like to point out that my party has not been "passive aggressive" as you put it. We vigorously oppose your parties proposal for a union yes, but at not point have we been outright passive aggressive so much as showing fierce opposition to your proposal. No personal or large attacks were made by anyone in our party to yours. Enzo Iglesias President of Gaduridos |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
