Message | A public and private system would be more favourable. The wealthy who use the private system would still be paying taxes, which subsidize the public system. |

Message | We agree with the philosophy expressed in the bill; but oppose the legislation on the grounds that the private system is run by those who know better and by replacing it with a public system we are "'patronising' the inferior" |

Message | The private system is run by those who wish to make money. That has nothing to do with being able to heal. |

Message | And the pubic system is run by those wishing to pander for votes. That has as little or less to due with healing as does the profit motive. Those wishing to make money must provide better service, or the patients will go elsewhere. If there is only a pubic system, there is no elsewhere to go. |

Message | ANd - if there is nowhere else to go, then - logically - ALL the best facilities and experts MUST be within the Public system. The 'best service' MUST be part OF the public system, if ALL care is public. Thus, under such circumstances... a private system is not only redundant, but also ridiculous. |
Date | 18:48:52, January 23, 2006 CET | From | AM Radical Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Axis Mundi Anakrousite Agenda (vii) |
Message | As must all the worst be in there as well; and how does one determine which one will get if one has no choice? |
Date | 19:13:02, January 23, 2006 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Axis Mundi Anakrousite Agenda (vii) |
Message | One would have choice... one would just not have to pay for it (directly), and the whole system is applied equally, rather than favouring the wealthy. |

Message | If there is only one pubic system, there is no choice. You go where you are told and take what you get. |

Message | On the contrary - the RLP appears to be confusing 'socialised' medicine with Totalitarian Despotism. There is no logical connect between the two. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
