Bill: Motion of No Confidence - November, 3997

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Union

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: July 3998

Description[?]:

In response to the crippling indecision of President Yifan's disastrous Presidency, and in light of internal issues which can no longer be ignored by a fractured and ailing minority Government, we the Conservative Union move for a motion of no confidence against President Yifan's administration.

We would urge all parties to support this motion for the sake of Gaduridos.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Unfortunately we concur with our colleagues in the Conservative Union party. We are at too fragile a state of economic recovery and in too dangerous of a security situation to allow the ineffectual and frankly floundering administration of President Yifan continue.

MessageMr Speaker,

This motion is frankly ridiculous, the Conservative Union has worked constantly against us, the claim that our term has been disastrous is undeniably wrong. We've had ups and downs, but that's what happens when your forced into minority government by other parties who do not wish the responsibility of government. We've done very well over the past year and a half considering we have 28% of the seats in the Senate.

Eva Moreno,
Prime Senator.

MessageMr Speaker,

I'm not sure what 'very well' looks like to the Radical Party but I can guarantee that it isn't anything like what the rest of us see! I have never known a President who shirked the responsibility of forming a Government after an election! He was elected! He was elected, and the fact that he couldn't get other parties to join in a coalition says something about him and not them! We have seen precisely zero legislation from his Government, but we must give him credit for a sensible budget.

The bombing of the Deltarian embassy highlights the precocious security situation we are in, and with ongoing conflict around the World, we need a Government of action!

MessageMr Speaker,

We concur with our colleagues in the Conservative Union party. We do not want a foreign puppet as the head of this nation. Someone who would threaten our national sovereignty and the democratic will of the people is a traitor in our book!

MessageMr Speaker,

The accusation of being a foreign puppet and a traitor are simply unfounded and bordering on libelous. We do not threaten this nation's national sovereignty your party simply refused to listen. All these issues could have been avoided if other members of this house had been cooperative rather than floundering over petty divides.

Lim Zhang,
Foreign Secretary.

MessageMr Speaker,

It is not our or any other party's fault that the President was unable to get a consensus on a majority. It is his. We to agree that the resolution to replace our democracy with a foreign monarchy borders on treason, and his well known ties to his puppet master in Indrala make him unfit to lead this country!

MessageMr Speaker,

This constant attack on his heritage and lineage, which he had no previous knowledge of is taking away from this debate entirely. It is the fault of all party leaders here who refused to work with one another and ourselves and forced us into minority government. You are frank to blame for this situation of instability.

Vincente Fermi,
Radical Backbencher.

MessageMr Speaker,

Whether he is aware of his lineage or not is besides the point. Did his Government not introduce legislation at the request of Indrala to strip away our democracy? Did his Government not fail to negotiate and reach a consensus with other parties? Has he not shirked, at every turn, his constitutional responsibility to form a Government in the mould of the will of the people? His Government, Presidency and supporters are a disgrace, and the sooner this motion passes, the better!
