Description[?]:
An address to the House of Commons from Viceroy James II of the House of Yodukan-Varsong, Margrave of Northenshire Mr. Speaker, It is my intention to address this House regarding he well-being of our mighty empire. Although I have been in office for less than a year, I have strove to quickly implement my party's platform. But in the absence of a new cabinet, I realized that we must go beyond partisan politics since it is partisan politics which prevent our nation from reaching its peak. We must go beyond the labels of communist, monarchist, republican, socialist, or capitalist, and look deep into ourselves. Our strength comes from what binds us together, not from what tears us apart. We are all Luthorians, bound together perpetually for the love of our people and our homeland. We are all brothers and sisters and everyone in this room has been elected by their fellow brothers and sisters to represent them in this house. Let us then look to our constituents and do what is best for them and renounce the viscous factionalism of extremism and partisan rigidity. Let us compromise with each other, instead of shouting lies and words of hate. One of the first compromises I would like to announce tonight is a compromise on one of the most divisive issues in our nation, the question of unionization. Parties are clearly split along this line, but after working with the Imperial Conservative Union and their honorable leader, His Grace, Maximilian Durant, we are putting the finishing touches on a place which would ensure that unions can keep the economy strong while continuing to represent their members' rights and fight for their labor rights and benefits. In addition, I have tasked my trusted colleague, former Chairman of the Hosian Socialist Party, Duke David Sviekart, to undertake negotiations to urge the ruling party of the Socialist State of Dolgaria to repeal this treaty http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=3289. This is unacceptable but we must realize why Dolgaria chose to take sanctions against us. Because of one party attempting to undermine another party, not for the good of the people, but for power's sake. This kind of infighting lowers our international prestige and will lead to more countries joining this treaty. Finally, I would like to end on a high note and announce the upcoming Presidential visit from Jewell Stillman of the Republic of Lourenne. The itinerary for the visit will be announced shortly, but it will take place at the beginning of April. It is my hope that such a visit will bring the Republic of Lourenne and the Holy Luthori Empire closer together and will allow the world to see a united and proud Holy Luthori Empire which welcomes guests from around the world, even those who have different opinions than us. Thank you for your time and this service to our nation. All Hail Luthori! |

Message | A good number of the LPU's MP looked rather shocked, one looked around followed by (Vladimir) Armstrong standing up with the same shocked and dumb founded expression on his face as his fellow communists. Then a trembling while proud voice said loudly which was Vladimir "A-al... All hail Luthori!" This was reverberated by the others "All Hail Luthori!" Followed by clapping and finally a few seconds of clapping |
