| Message | Euthanasia breaks the Hippocratic Oath, which says "first and foremost, do no harm." A doctor's place is to heal, not kill, and government endorsement of euthanasia is tantamount to government endorsement of suicide, since that's really what patient-approved euthanasia is, isn't it? As for abortion, we believe that simply because we can't interact with a fetus in the same manner as a grown human being, that does not mean it is not human. Human life is valuable in and of itself. Furthermore, since if left alone that fetus will become a fully developed human being, we do not see fit to rob that growing person of their potential. In reality, what is taken from a murder victim? Their potential and future. So it is with an aborted fetus. |
