Message | Mr. Speaker Look, we know that the current situation with Rutania might call for it, but we should not give up our values for it. Landmines are cruel weapons that rely on stealth and surprise. Some even detonate behind people to ensure surprise. The point being, do we really want to legalize a cruel and inhumane weapon that runs the risk of tarnishing our reputation? Let us set an example that even in a national crisis we still abide by our morals, and the rest of the world might follow suit. |
