MessageWould you give subsidies to a corporation? Why give subsidies to a farmer, who is legally a business, encouraging poor productivity, poor quality and poverty in nations who desparately need a level trading field. But then, socialism has never been about helping poor people.

Article 2 remains a mystery for why farm size should be regulated.

MessageAgain a shortsighted proposal by a laughable party with laughable policies. The lib-libs seemingly condone large agribusinesses benefitting at the expense of smaller farmers, who under the scourge of capitalism are often brought down to subsistence level.

The party will happily propose unemployment benefit, but will deny subsidies to farmer,s who without their farms will lose their livelihood, as well as losing their homes!

And this is prevented by the second law how?

"The party will happily propose unemployment benefit, but will deny subsidies to farmer,s who without their farms will lose their livelihood, as well as losing their homes!"
If they are so poor, there are plenty of subsidies (phone, electricity, child benefit, free health and education, etc, etc) for them to receive. What else do they need money for?

If they lose their farm, then they are unemployed, in which case they can receive unemployment benefits. I fail to see why we need to make poor people outside of Baltusia even poorer by screwing them over with subsidies and why we need to use taxes which can be better spent on welfare.

Short-sighted indeed.

What an insightful argument that is so well constructed, my respect for your party has skyrocketed.

MessageRegardless, worse comes to worse, if the agricultural industry is in financial trouble, a bail-out package is available from the government as it is a vital industry.

To continue to ignore this fact is to reject reality.

MessageFarm = home and security.

No farm = no home and security.
