| WHEREAS: - Current policy on ecology places an undue and hurtful burden on industry, limiting employment and causing negative effects to the lives of thousands of Likatonian citizens - Taxation and enforcement of standards that are ultimately ineffective are hurting the ability to attract industry and improve the livelihood of Likatonian citizens THEREFORE, THE SENATE AFFIRMS: 1. The Logging License Program by the Ministry of the Environment is hereby repelled in its entirety. 2. The Ministry of the Environment shall create a Forestry Working Committee to determine the best manners of a healthy and sustainable forest clearance plan in line with industry and commercial interests. 2a. The Forestry Working Committee shall be open to one Representative with voting powers from each commercial industry member with an interest in the Environment. 2b. The Ministry of the Environment shall contain 1/3 of all Representatives on the Committee. 2c. The Head of State can repel the action plan and order a reconvene of the Committee. 3. The Ministry of the Environment shall advertise and expressively state the benefits of replacement plantation of trees cleared. 4. The Pollution Standards Act is hereby repealed in its entirety. 5. The Ministry of the Environment shall advertise and expressively state the benefits of lower pollution to industry members.. |
