WHEREAS: - Churches operate on similar agendas as other taxable entities in the Social Republic of Likatonia, and have no distinction that should make them above taxation - Ministers can swindle or misappropriate donations to increase their personal pocket in various cases of church and religious fraud THEREFORE, THE SENATE AFFIRMS THAT: 1. All religious income will need to be disclosed to the Ministry of Finance, and a corporate tax rate will be charged to all revenue from the church provided that: (a) the church has made more than the basic cost of the ownership of the church structure to the determination of the Ministry of Finance. 2. The remuneration of church employees, including Ministers, will be limited to a total calculated by the Ministry of Finance deemed fair and reasonable considering the occupation, the size of the congregation, the viability of the religion, the historic importance, and number of duties assumed. It shall not be more than the median annual salary for that fiscal year in Likatonia. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This legislation is very favorable towards reaching a more secular and equal state and we applaud the LUP for proposing it. We would concur with to bring it to a vote but with the elections approaching we will be happily inclined to wait towards the next session. I Yield. |
