Bill: UPP Budget
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Progressive Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4017
Description[?]:
The United Progressive Party announces the holding of its Opposition Budget, or the budget it would install should it ever become a majority party. The UPP believes that running such a high surplus and not allocating much needed funds to public services is harmful to the Likatonian People. The Revenue the government currently picks up is 186 Billion, whilst the government only spends 50 Billion of it. Many do not get needed public services, and it is not concurrent with the amount needed to adequate run the government. The Opposition Budget brings spending to a reasonable level of 123 Billion, still very much in surplus of the revenues gaining and open for a tax break on the lower and middle classes. The UPP does not project this Budget to be accepted by the Government, so until then it shall remain in the Senata Hopper as a formal stance of the UPP party on what should be a responsible and realistic budget. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
