MessageMr. Speaker,

To all parties that voted no, why is that?

What level are we for researching such accursed weapons that inflict harm on people that did not use these weapons in the first place?

Who do we think we are?

We are not gods, nor are we devils, and we humans have a great capacity for compassion.

But I understand we have faults, and that fault is being capable of violence.

This bill marks the first step towards peaceful intentions to other countries around the world.

And we cannot have any obstruction at all for the goal.

MessageMr Speaker,

I also call on other parties who abstained to be principled, and be assertive towards the bill that will be the prototype for further peace, as a part of a positive human nature.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I hardly believe this bill marks a step towards peaceful intentions. The proposal says that our nation can use these weapons as retaliation. If I read between the lines it means that we can use these weapons if one nation chooses to use them. It doesn't say that we have to aggressed, the weapons do not necessarily have to be used against our nation.
This proposal seems doubtful to me. It doesn't bring us closer to a peaceful future, it only gives people a false feeling of peaceful intentions.
My party and I prefer the law as it stands.

MessageMr Speaker,

To Kim Andries, so what do you propose?, maintaining the law that can harm the environment and make more damage than already intended when attacking the enemy?

MessageMr. Speaker,

I will admit that I do not believe that the current law is ideal, however the proposed change is ridiculous. It is one thing to be principled and say that you do not want chemical or biological weapons being used at all, but it is another thing entirely to say that you would want our country to use them after another country uses them on our people.

If there is a war in which such weapons are used against our people, we have already failed, as our people have already been harmed far too much. To go on, then, to use these weapons against other people will do no justice; harming other sons and daughters will not magically cause ours to be reborn.

I will be making my own proposed change to the law, based on reason and ethical principles.

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.
