Message | Mr. Speaker, No tax cuts for the lowest income group and massive tax cuts for the rich. The Libertarian Party only cares about the wealthy. They're taking public services away from the poor and putting more money into the pockets of the most well-off. - Cathleen Forrest (Representative for Delvar), Green Party Leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Wrong observation, I'm just not able to cut more on the lowest income group because they're already paying 0 RUT in taxes. Only when you're above 1,000 RUT you've to pay taxes, but there is no increase or decrease there. Only above 5,000 RUT everyone is getting a decrease. We can let the rich pay 90% of their income for things they're not using anyway but that wouldn't be fair. Also the rich are the ones investing in our companies and lowering the income tax on the rich could appeal rich individuals here that could invest in our local economy. When you're letting the rich pay more than 50% of their income they're being scared away and that would hurt our economy. Also I'm not putting money in the pockets of the rich, I'm just grabbing away less. Since everyone earned their money square and fair, it shouldn't be robbed away by big government. Message | Mr Speaker, This is simply a bill set out to destroy the middle class. With such a decrease in income, important public services will be forced to make way for the rich who are getting taxed approximately 50% for their last 1000RUT or so income. In fact, the basis of the right's argument is simply wrong. The success of Rutanian businesses depend on the high quality infrastructure and education in Rutania, corporation tax has also been kept low, so instead of the rich earning money for themselves, we can encourage businesses to be invested. The left is the true pro-entrepreneurship pro-success camp. The right will only make those who are disenfranchised less likely to rise above the society. Jeff Turner, Acting Leader, Reform! Rutania |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I would like to point out that we're not raising the income tax. We're only lowering it, for the rich, yes. Taxes were essentially paid to contribute to wars, now it's being used for things that are not even in your interest. Another important one is that we're absolutely not destroying our infrastructure or our education system, we just think it can be privatized and remain the same quality.
