Bill: Nationality and Citizenship

Details

Submitted by[?]: Classical Liberal Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4032

Description[?]:

This bill provides for a clearer and more refined definition of who can claim to be a national of the Federal Union of Gaduridos. Additionally, the bill amends the process to gain citizenship, in order to allow non-nationals to become citizens, due to the definition of a national of Gaduridos being refined. The Neo-Democratic Party would like to amend Article 2, by changing the language to "Citizenship is gained by passing a qualifying exam, but all nationals are granted citizenship at birth." This will only require immigrants to pass a qualifying exam for citizenship.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.

Random quote: "If we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people to not kill each other? Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want." - Mother Teresa of Calcutta quotes
