Bill: Progressive Reform Bill - End Of Recognized Religions

Details

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2176

Description[?]:

Now that we have abolished the state religion, we believe that it is unjust to make distinctions between "recognized" and unrecognized religions. There is no real objective way to make such a distinction and so we propose that all religions be treated the same way.

MessageSo if I donate money to a church for charity, it will not be taxed; but of the church raises money for charity via commercial methods, that will be taxed? I'm not sure I accept the difference if I am understanding the bill correctly.

MessageYou might be missing an important word... 'profit'. Your earnings were taxed, the company 'earnings' are taxed. Neither your own charitable donation, nor that made by the church, is taxed.

MessageThanks for the clarification; we shall probably vote yes to this even with the regulations on the schools.

MessageWe don't like how 'any' religion can set up a school, then again, we don't mind that it'll wreck the current wave of fundamentalism, so we'll support.
