Bill: Proposal for Caretaker Government

Details

Submitted by[?]: Imperial Conservative Union (IA)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4034

Description[?]:

We propose the following "traditional" style cabinet, to end the political chaos that has gripped this country. While a DPL-Imperial Alliance coalition government may be possible, we believe a coalition government of the SDL, the DPL, and the Imperial Alliance is better, more stable, and more prepared to govern the state apparatus until the current political crisis is over.

While the SDL is by no means a monarchist or right-wing party, and we fully recognize that fact, they are far from being the radicals that comprise the LPU. They are a party that has continued to display dignity despite their views and has been a force in Luthori for many years. Consequently, it is better they have power than the radicals in the LPU. It is better that they, as the largest party, form the caretaker government to see us through the next elections.

We have also proposed the DPL as the Deputy as is their right as the second largest party in the proposed coalition. We see this as the best solution and hope this chamber also agrees to these terms.
