Message | Discipline and Punishment are two different things and this is where your bill fails. The root word of discipline is Disciple. In other words, correcting a child's disobedience through detention teaches them there are consequences. Punishment is nothing but vengeance and has no love or care behind it. If you take away Discipline you leave Punishment as the only choice because in the end, not teaching a child there are consequences for their actions is an egregious Punishment. |
