Bill: Income tax proposal of November 4036

Details

Submitted by[?]: Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4037

Description[?]:

The Reform! Rutania (R!R) propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Commonwealth of Rutania.

Under this new income tax plan, the marginal tax rate will be increased to 42% from the original 35%, facilitating an increase in the minimum taxable income rate by 200 RUT. The lowest bracket is also lowered to 2%, slashing grassroots taxes by 50%. The R!R believes that this tax plan will further redistribute wealth to the disadvantaged and allow those most cash-strapped to have some Rutas to spare.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Once again we encourage the tax cut for the lower bracket, but we can't support the tax increase for the higher ones, that is why we're voting against. Also, when is the government going to stop stealing from the people and stop their discrimination on the rich and middle class?

Rep. Jerome Hunter,
Leader LP
