Far to long The Lodamese military has been, restricted at best, from doing its purpose, keeping Lodamun safe. It is time for lodamun to reinstate a "M.A.D" plan, a deterrent to war.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We don't understand why the PLUP considers not murdering the working class of another nation restricted. We should keep both our chemical, biological, and nuclear attacks restricted to non-civilian areas. Destroying the military of an enemy nation, not innocent civilians, should be the only goal in Lodamese wars.

MessageThat sounds nice and all but when it comes to war you have to prepared for anything, that includes taking dark paths. If lodamun is not ready to meet the challenge we will be the losing side, and it will be our citizens that feel the consequences.

Which is why lodamun has not been in a war for a very long time, they aren't about being nice, or even ethical, in fact the very nature of war, put simply is staying alive. And if you are restricted, in any way shape or form you won't stay alive for long.

We never advocate war, never under any circumstance do we feel war is necessary, however should it come we feel that should be able to do anything and everything we can to keep ourselves alive. If another nation wishes to attack any nation, including ours, they should suffer the consequences.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Murdering the innocent isn't going to keep you alive, Chairman. If anything, it would only fuel more anger and personal hatred towards Lodamun, compelling the enemy to do the same. I will not have their blood on my hands.

MessageFrankly who cares if we are hated. Better to be hated, and feared, then be hated and a joke. If a nation declares war on us, there must already be some level of hatred that nation feels toward us.

For many nations, democratic nations especially some semblance of popular support must be infavor of the war for it to even happen in the first place. And if that is the truth then those "innocent" you speak of are actually the culprits behind the war in the first place. It makes them just as guilty, if not more so then those in power who actually declare the war.

Now I do understand that not everyone will be in favor of a war, that is probably the innocent you refer to. But really, in all honesty, if we constantly worried about everyone else's peoples, we wouldn't have enough time to worry and protect ours. And that is what really matters. Leave caring about other nations people's to the respective governments.

If their governments are smart enough, and if they care enough about their people, then they won't be declaring war on nations they know they will get nuked by.

The intent of this bill isn't to kill the masses, it's to keep it from happening. With current laws we are almost inviting foreign invaders.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Our people trust our government. We can tell our people anything, and they will trust us enough to believe us if they do not have direct access to information themselves. We expect that people in other countries trust their governments to this extent as well, so we do not think that it is fair to label the entire civilian population of any nation as "culprits" in a war. I do not support the proposed change to the government's policy on chemical and biological weapons. The GNRG maintains that these must only be used in non-civilian areas.

We however agree that at least one of our current laws doesn't make sense. We should not wait for another country to use nuclear weapons before we decide to do the same. If we wait for another country to use nuclear weapons, we would have suffered enough devastation to prevent us from being able to retaliate. I think the official policy of the GDR should be that the nation reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in retaliation to any attack; that will be a deterrent, whereas our current policy on nuclear weapons has no practical benefit.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We will ally with the GNRG on this issue. However, I would like to respond to the PLUP that a war has t have public support. Sure, a majority, for the most part, is needed to support a war. However, what of those who didn't favor it. Do they deserve to die? Ow hat of the maniacs who get in power by saying what the people want to hear? And them going back on those promises. A party only needs to get a majority once to declare a war. Once again, I will not have the blood of millions on my hands.

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
