Bill: Proposed changes to the Constitution

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberalerna

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4042

Description[?]:

As of now the post as Head of State got no power worth competing for . We think it's fair to resort to a president system . Basic mirroring France as in the proposed change the president can propose a cabinet bill but it's require the approval of parliament. As it's now we got two elections and only the Församlings election draws all heat.
We liberals would like to her other parties proposals or opinions regarding this bill in particular and Constitution reform in the broader picture too.
We will not propose this bill before the next election as to allow a good debate on the issues.

Message"Mr. Speaker,

I would encourage Liberalerna to look at the history of this nation. When OA was founded, this very same law was in effect. The largest party, TNK, also had put a monarch on the throne. They used this very law to prevent any challenge to their government without a 2/3rds majority. We fought tooth, claw, and nail to have this law repealed. It is a question of freedom of speech, freedom of association, and democracy. We are completely and utterly opposed."

Message"Mr. Speaker,

Our entire party is infuriated with this proposal and its repercussions. It is an integral part of the country for every party to have a say. This will create a system in which only the Head of State benefits. We do not think this is fair on any basis. We will actively fight against this degradation of our constitutional-given right."

Message5. Real-life variables.

Particracy is set in the fictional world of Terra, which mirrors the real world of today and yet is not quite like it. Role-play must reflect this, and as examples, the names of the following should not be used:

5.1 Prominent real-life persons. This includes references to philosophies featuring the name of a real-life person (eg. "Marxism", "Thatcherism", "Keynesianism").

5.1.1 Real-life quotations may be used, but the real-life speaker or author should always be referenced in an OOC (out-of-character) note alongside the quotation.

5.2 Real-life organisations, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed).

5.2.1. The terms "Bolshevik", "Nazi" and "Soviet" are specifically prohibited.

5.2.2 "Сове́т", which is sometimes translated as "Soviet", is permitted as a translation of "Council".

5.3 Real life-life nationalities, cultures or ethnicities (eg. "German").

5.4 Real-life religious references. Terra has its own religions, many of which mirror real-life ones. For more information, see here.

5.5 Real-life places.

This is obviously in violation of game rules, look at section 5.5.

MessageOOC:The reference to France in this bill was to explaining note of how a semi president system work. Wikipedia would probably have similar explanation. I will try not to mix up RP and IRL in the future.
This proposed change has been withdrawn if someone got any other proposals (of changes to the Constitution)
I most have them within 24 hours or this bill will be put to a vote ( to put this bill to rest but keep this discussion, without any proposals).
