Message | Why should the tax payers of Baltusia pay for subsidies to low-income farmers? Presumably because they are low-income. Let's examine why they are low-income in the first place. It is probably because THEY AREN'T GOOD FARMERS!* Why should we encourage poor quality food, poor productivity and deny poorer still foreign farmers a chance to trade on a level playing field with what are probably superior goods? I suppose if you like crappy food, like making poor people poorer still and are completely blind to reality, you'd continue to vote against reform but then, one has to wonder, what capability you have to lead... *In the even that natural circumstances (ala flooding, tornadoes, etc) kill off crops, then the farmers affected should apply for nationalisation under the terms of Vital Industries Bill until such time as they can get back on their feet. |
