MessageWe very strongly oppose this proposal. Regarding issues of legal equality, social treatments permitted, and inclusionary culture norms, allowing smaller communities the discretion to craft their own standings is unacceptable. It is the job of larger entities to apply broad jurisdiction to represent and protect diverse groups of society. It is why we supported the treaties concerning polygamy, opposition to slavery, etc. International treaties such as these serve the purpose to apply uniform and far-reaching protections.

This treaty covers the protections of the positions held by the government of Gaduridos on the issues of the equalization of liberties granted in adoption, military employment, marriage, and personal sexual relations. No article mandates that a private citizen be forced to perform any action or role should they not wish it. No article mandates an infringement or breach of a private citizen's own liberties. We strongly feel that this is the difference between civil rights and moral laws.

It should not be left to the interest of another person to decide who may and may not receive selective protections and permissions from the government. The GMP supports secular-based, pragmatic, and sustainable (rcobomic and environmental) policies that are applied uniformly. Social customs are local. The law must be larger than local customs. Issues such as slavery and the equality of women would hardly have made progress in our nation, and others, under this philosophy.

We do support the SCP in it's efforts to localize issues on other platforms, should it seek to localize choices for personal liberties (should some treaty prohibit the freedom of our people in some way), choices restricting our nation (economic or administrative), etc.

MessageThe Neoconservative Party is split relatively evenly on this bill. While a clear majority of the party supports policies that protect LGBT rights, a significant portion of the party also believes that our country should not be forced to adhere to international laws on issues that they believe should be decided at the national or even the local level. Currently, the party has narrowly voted to cast its vote share against this measure. However with only minor changes in future party membership and leadership, the Neoconservative Party may come down on the other side of this issue in later years.
