For ages Luthori's Defense Industries have been some of the most competitive and military arms produces in all of Terra. There is no need for the state to be involved in the direct affairs of the industry. Let the state set the basic parameters for what is required and benefits of the market produce equipment that constantly pushes the boundaries of military technology and weaponry.
