Bill: The Empowerment of Local Government

Details

Submitted by[?]: Libertarian Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4048

Description[?]:

In order to increase the powers of the people it is important to decentralize government on several key issues:

1) The sale of alcohol is to be regulated by local governments

2) Smoking regulations are determined by local governments

3) Gambling regulation is determined by local governments

4) The sale of recreational drugs is controlled by local governments

5) Farm size is to be regulated by local governments

6) Local governments may establish inheritance laws

7) Local governments control airport policy

8) Local governments decide upon public transport policy

The decentralisation of these powers to local government will allow both a more efficient implementation of policy, as local governments are better able to react to constituents needs, and also allow the people more power over their own lives.
