Bill: Organ Donation
Details
Submitted by[?]: The People's Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4051
Description[?]:
We believe at The United Party that human life is an irreplaceable, much-loved and much-missed thing. As a result, we feel that at the age of sixteen, all citizens should be put on a register which allows the use of organs from the deceased to transform the lives of the less-fortunate. However, in the diverse, vibrant and forward-thinking communities in which we live, work and call home, their must be an opting out option for those with beliefs (such as religion) which do not meet the objective of the proposed bill. You cannot, surely, argue with the facts that sometimes, human life is taken too early. Therefore, by passing this positive bill which is proposed by The United Party, we can stop anyone becoming irreplaceable because of a lack of organs, make everyone much-loved for longer and ensure that no-one, no-one will be much-missed because of a problem which can be solved. To conclude, please, do the moral, correct and essential thing and back this bill. Thank you. |
