Bill: A Bill Concerning Nobility
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluzian Liberty and Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 4052
Description[?]:
The BLFP does not support the idea of a landed noble class, but we also do not feel that secular opinions of nobility should be enforced on religious grounds. Part of the importance of religious freedom is a complete separation of church and state. If the church has granted someone's ancestor a hereditary noble title, then who are we, as a secular government, to say that their religion cannot do that? |
Proposals
Article 1

Current: Nobility confers titles and minor political rights, but no direct control over people or land, and can be hereditary.
