Bill: Privacy Protection Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperial Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4056
Description[?]:
Far too many people have been victims of the excesses of the cheap, tabloid media. Those who are in the public eye should not have their private lives exposed unless it can be demonstrated there is a genuine public interest in doing so. Furthermore, we add an addendum to this bill to make it a criminal offence to insult the Holy Luthori Emperor or his family. We are not seeking to restrict freedom of expression here. Those who want to criticise the Emperor will still be able to do so - just they will have to do it in a way that is respectful. No more of the vulgar cartoons we have seen in certain scurrilous magazines. Senator Cosmo Adams Chairman of the Imperial Alliance Minister of Defence |

Message | Madam speaker. We are not under the Luthori emperor, we can criticize him however we want. This act will kill free speech in the imperials crusade to make us slaves under an emperor that no belizian gives any thought about. |
