With both a decent surplus and income inequality on the rise due to the recent tax plans, we hope to strike a balance. We want to remove the 1000 BEL bracket, ensuring that the people that desperately need every cent(OOC: I think that's what we use) are not having their funds ripped in to in the name of the top. We also have cuts in taxes for the lower middle class by moving up the 15000 BEL bracket to 20000. Finally, we have increases on the wealthiest Beluzians to a fair amount without taking a majority of their income. This will help us cut down on income inequality and help move the tax burden from those that are vulnerable to those that can actually afford it.

MessageMadam Speaker,

I will ignore the snide comments which are very clearly aimed at the Daybreak Coalition's immensely successful tax plans, and consider this proposal objectively.
We agree with taking the lowest bracket out, now our economy has grown to a position we consider to be stable, we can begin to axe taxes towards the lower end. However, we cannot accept a return to 40% tax rates so soon after we had remedied the problem of over-inflated tax rates. Such rates should, in my view, be reserved for very higher bars: >100,000BEL, >500,000BEL or even >1,000,000BEL. I also feel the 35% is imposed at too low a level - it should be implemented higher, perhaps at the >50,000BEL mark?
If these changes are made, my party could consider supporting this proposal, subject to consultation with the Finance Minister, and others in the Daybreak Coalition.

MessageCorrection: We cannot support a 40% tax under any circumstances. The days of the 40% tax rate are over thanks to the superb work of the Daybreak Coalition.

MessageOOC: Gini coefficient is 41.98 of this taxation proposal, higher than 38.9. If you want income equality, we propose a tax plan that has a 0.2 income equality
