Bill: Bill NLA-56 End Corporate Welfare
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Democratic Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2177
Description[?]:
The taxpayers of this nation cannot honestly be expected to prop up failing corporations or companies with money. They are private enterprises and have no business in the state's affairs if we are to have a free market. We would rather have a laissez-faire policy in this area than forcing the people of Darnussia to pay for private failures. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy on industry and subsidies to industrial operations.
Old value:: The government subsidizes private enterprises that face bankruptcy.
Current: The government acts as an investor of last resort, by nationalizing failing industries that provide vital goods or services.
Proposed: The government does not intervene in the market nor provide any form of subsidies/relief to industries.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
